Our Co Founder had a private meeting with David Amess MP on Tuesday 9th October at the Conservative party conference. Mr Amess was then again introduced to Brian May and some of Team Badger’s Parliamentary officers. David Amess and Brian May first met at Conservatives Against Fox Hunting’s’ We Wll Rock You’ event held with Brian May for anti hunting Conservative MPs at the Dominion Theatre in Tottenham Court Road in June 2011. The event was a great fun evening with the Ceos of some of our leading animal welfare organisations and Conservative MPs to be together and share the goal of protecting wildlife from cruel sports with dogs.

( from the MPs website:) David Amess MP met Dr Brian May at this year’s Conservative Party Conference. Dr May, made famous as part of the band Queen, went on in later life to earn a PhD in astrophysics and is currently campaigning against badger culling. Dr May is also a life-long Conservative supporter.
Mr Amess said, “It was fantastic to meet Dr Brian May and he raised a very important issue regarding the badger cull. It is a very complicated issue and I’m glad to have spoken to someone with the passion that he has.”
